Epson SureColor professional large-format printers at Picture This Framing production facility

Printing & Substrates

We print on Epson SureColor P-Series printers using 10- and 12-color UltraChrome PRO pigment ink sets. These produce 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution with droplets as small as 3.5 picoliters, delivering exceptional color accuracy and fine detail reproduction.

Our archival pigment inks are rated for 200+ years of color print display life and 400+ years for black-and-white — certified by Wilhelm Imaging Research. Combined with acid-free substrates and UV-protective glazing, your prints are built to last for generations.

We print up to 64 inches wide with virtually unlimited length on roll-fed media. For oversized statement pieces, we can accommodate dimensions well beyond what most print shops offer.

Photo papers include Luster (our most popular), Gloss, Matte, and Metallic Gloss. Fine art papers include Signa Smooth 300 (hot press, 300 gsm, 100% cotton rag) and Elegant Velvet (cold press, ~310 gsm, 100% cotton rag). Canvas options include Decor Canvas (poly-cotton blend for standard production), Lyve Archival Canvas (museum-grade acid-free), and specialty canvases like Silverada Metallic and Crystalline Satin/Gloss. We offer free substrate consultations.

We accept TIFF, JPG, PNG, and PDF files. For best results, provide files at a minimum of 300 DPI at the final print size. If you have physical originals, we offer high-resolution flatbed scanning (up to 16x20 inches) and professional camera capture for larger or three-dimensional pieces.

Giclée is a fine-art standard of inkjet printing that uses archival pigment inks (not dye), premium substrates, and calibrated color management. Our 10- and 12-color ink sets reproduce a wider color gamut than standard 4-color printers, with longevity ratings of 200+ years versus 5-25 years for consumer dye-based prints.

Yes. Digital proofing is standard on every project. For color-critical work and large commercial runs, we also offer physical proofs. We iterate until you approve — there is no extra charge for the standard proofing process.

Yes. Our UV flatbed printer can print directly onto rigid substrates including acrylic, wood, foam board, and PVC. This opens up creative options beyond traditional paper and canvas printing.

Extensive custom moulding library showing hundreds of frame profiles at Picture This Framing

Framing & Glazing

We maintain one of the largest moulding libraries in Orange County — hundreds of profiles in wood, metal (aluminum), and composite (polystyrene). We keep deep in-stock inventory for fast turnaround and can source rare and out-of-production mouldings for specialized projects.

We offer five main glazing types: Claryl Museum Glass (anti-reflective, 99% UV protection — best for high-visibility display), UV-resistant glass (99% UV with standard reflectivity), OP3 acrylic (non-glare, UV protection, lightweight, shatter-resistant), clear acrylic (lightweight, shatter-resistant — required for healthcare and cruise ships), and standard clear glass (economical for high-volume hospitality). We consult on every project to match the right glazing to the environment.

It depends on the environment. High-visibility lobbies and executive areas benefit from Claryl Museum Glass (virtually invisible, 99% UV protection). Healthcare and cruise ships require shatter-resistant acrylic. Budget-conscious hospitality projects often use UV-resistant glass or clear glass. We walk through the tradeoffs with every client.

We offer conservation-grade acid-free matting, linen mats, custom cutouts, specialty corners, French lines, and layered finishes. Additional options include foil stamping (gold, silver, copper, holographic) and laser-cut custom shapes and lettering.

Yes. We carry FSC and PEFC certified mouldings and matboard for projects that require sustainable sourcing — common in LEED-certified buildings and green corporate programs. Our production facility also operates with energy-efficient LED lighting, sealed-cartridge inkjet systems (no solvents or chemical wastewater), and a production waste recycling program.

Commercial Programs

We are purpose-built for commercial volume. Our 7,000+ sq ft production facility, dedicated project managers, room-by-room labeling system, and multi-site quality controls are designed for 50 to 5,000+ piece programs. Retail frame shops typically handle 1-10 pieces at a time and lack the infrastructure for repeatable precision at scale.

We serve hotels and resorts, healthcare facilities, corporate offices, cruise ships, theme parks and attractions, restaurants, interior design firms, multi-family residential, universities, and retail/visual merchandising. Each industry has specific material requirements and compliance standards that we build to.

Yes — this is a core capability. We produce everything centrally in our Fullerton facility to maintain consistent color and build standards, then ship installer-ready packages to each location with site-specific labeling. We have managed phased rollouts across dozens of properties.

Yes, this is standard on every commercial project. Each piece is labeled with its specific wall location, and packages are grouped by room or floor. All hanging hardware is included. This eliminates guesswork for installation crews and reduces errors on job sites.

Yes. We archive specifications from every project, allowing us to produce exact replicas years later for replacement, expansion, or additional properties. This is particularly valuable for hotel brands maintaining consistency across renovations.

Yes. We build to healthcare standards including shatter-resistant acrylic glazing, sealed frames for infection control, anti-ligature hardware for behavioral health units, and evidence-based healing environment imagery. Our builds are designed to pass Joint Commission inspections.

Cruise ship art is a specialty. We build to maritime specs: IMO/SOLAS-compliant fire-rated materials, humidity-tolerant sealed backs, lightweight construction for wall-mount safety at sea, and non-combustible mounting adhesives. We deliver dockside timed to dry-dock and refit windows, with programs ranging from 500 to 5,000+ pieces per vessel.

Pricing & Timelines

Pricing depends on scope, materials, sizes, and quantity. We provide detailed written quotes after reviewing your specifications. Volume programs of 50+ pieces receive commercial pricing, and larger programs (300+ pieces) receive additional volume discounts.

For programs of 50+ pieces: standard hospitality guestroom art runs $55-$130 per piece, mid-tier corporate with hardwood moulding $120-$260, premium corporate with museum glass $250-$600, healthcare with shatter-resistant builds $140-$320, and maritime/cruise with fire-rated materials $180-$450. Statement pieces over 40x60 inches range from $500 to $3,500+. Every project is quoted individually based on specific requirements.

Yes. Programs of 100-299 pieces receive standard commercial pricing. Programs of 300-999 pieces receive 8-12% discounts, 1,000-2,999 pieces receive 12-18%, and 3,000+ pieces receive 18-25% program pricing. These are general ranges — your specific quote depends on materials and complexity.

Standard projects: 2-4 weeks. Large commercial programs (1,000+ pieces): 6-8 weeks. The critical path is usually moulding — stocked mouldings ship in 2-5 days, while custom or specialty mouldings in large volume can take 13-26 weeks. We identify these timelines early so there are no surprises.

Yes. We have completed rush programs — for example, 150 pieces in 6 weeks total with no upcharge — when the materials are available. Rush capability depends on moulding availability and current production volume. We are upfront about what is realistic.

A boutique hotel (~150 pieces) typically takes 14-22 weeks from concept to installation. A full-service hotel (500-800 pieces) takes 20-36 weeks. A cruise ship (1,500-3,500 pieces) takes 8-12 months. The biggest variable is moulding lead time — if you use stocked profiles, timelines compress significantly.
